“Hemos llegado a Berlín” by Fanuel Hanán Díaz is an award-winning work, recognized with the Premio Nacional de Literatura Infantil Pedrito Botero (2021). Told through the eyes of a child, the story follows a family forced to leave everything behind, crossing a vast and unforgiving landscape in search of a place to belong. In this journey, uncertainty, cold, and longing shape a voice that is both fragile and quietly resilient. 

In this illustrated edition, I approached the landscape as a living presence something that accompanies, challenges, and shelters the family along the way. The terrain becomes a silent witness to their passage, a space where memory, loss, and hope intertwine, and where even in the harshest moments, a faint light persists.
